A little bit of history
The Pavillon des Prince got his name from a quirky anecdote: The Count of Artois and the Duke of Bourbon got into an argument at the Ball of the Opera. The two princes challenged each other in a duel on March 16th 1778, at the exact place where the Pavillon now stands. They wielded the sword for 6 minutes before stopping the fight. The name Pavillon des Princes has been used ever since.
Environmental concerns
The new Pavillon des Princes is part of an eco-responsible approach.
